"FLY FROM KATOWICE!" PROGRAMME TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2010

For the purpose of this document, the following definitions will apply:

  1. Katowice Airport – Katowice International Airport in Pyrzowice; address: 42-625 Pyrzowice, ul. Wolności 90.
  2. GTL – Upper Silesian Aviation Group., it is the joint-stock company, with headquarters in Katowice, which manages Katowice Airport and is the organiser of the “Fly from Katowice!” programme.
  3. “Fly from Katowice!” – a programme of discounts offered by programme partners for passengers departing from, or flying directly to, Katowice Airport on regular scheduled services or charter flights.
  4. Travel Agent: a tour operator, the office of a tour operator or a representative agency (including IATA-accredited agencies).
  5. Tour Operator: a travel agent being the immediate organiser of charter flights arriving and departing from Katowice Airport.
  6. Tour Operator-Owned Travel Agent: an agency being the immediate vendor of charter flights arriving and departing from Katowice Airport.
  7. Independent Travel Agent: a travel agency broker in the sale of charter flights organised by tour operators, departing from and arriving to Katowice Airport, as well as being the brokers of tickets for regular scheduled services, both traditional and low-cost, operating from Katowice Airport.
  8. Declaration of participation – application form available from the “Fly from Katowice!” web site – www.flyfromkatowice.com
  9. Discount Voucher – a voucher allowing a passenger to take advantage of discounts offered by programme partners. Discount vouchers are available on the “Fly from Katowice!” website – www.flyfromkatowice.com
  10. Passenger – a person who is travelling by aircraft, is in the immediate possession of a discount voucher, is not a crew member, is departing or arriving to Katowice Airport and is a direct customer of scheduled service air carriers operating from Katowice Airport or is a direct tour operator customer.
  11. Summer Season: time period between 1st April and 31st October 2010.
  12. Winter Season: time period from 1st January to 31st March and 1st November to 31st December 2010.
  13. Program Partner – a company operating on the grounds of Katowice Airport, which is affiliated with GTL in the “Fly from Katowice!” Programme and which provides discounts on its services.
  14. New Tour Operator – a tour operator, who began the organisation of direct charter connections from Katowice Airport, who had not organised such connections within the preceding 18 months.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The "Fly from Katowice!" programme will operate from 1st January – 31st December 2010.
  2. Travel agents join the programme upon completion of the declaration on the application form to be found at www.flyfromkatowice.com
  3. When the application form has been received, the Travel Agency becomes a participant of the programme and their contact details are made available on the Katowice International Airport web site, within the "Fly From Katowice!" programme service. www.flyfromkatowice.com
  4. It is the Travel Agents obligation to provide customers purchasing tickets and holiday travel, departing from Katowice Airport, with information pertaining to the regulations governing the redemption of discount vouchers at Katowice Airport directly prior to, and upon arrival at, Katowice Airport.
  5. Upon joining the programme, GTL is obligated to supply the Travel Agents with promotional materials pertaining to the “Fly from Katowice!” programme.
  6. It is the Travel Agents obligation to clearly display all “Fly from Katowice!”promotional material within their offices.
  7. It is the Travel Agents obligation to affix the "Fly from Katowice!" banner on their web sites and link to www.flyfromkatowice.com available at the www.flyfromkatowice.com website found under the tab for Travel Agents.
  8. A Travel Agent, who is also a Tour Operator, is obligated to affix the "Fly from Katowice!" logo on all press releases and promotional materials, as per the conditions for logo use, to be found at www.flyfromkatowice.com under the tab for Travel Agents.
  9. A Travel Agent, who is also a Tour Operator, is obliged to supply GTL with information pertaining to planned charter flights for the duration of the programme.
  10. A Travel Agent participating in the programme is obliged to promote only car parks belonging to GTL.
  11. Travel Agent employees, who will be clearing passengers on the premises of Katowice Airport, and who will have been issued with parking permits on the basis of their declaration of participation in the programme, are obliged to notify the Marketing Department of Katowice Airport in person, or by email – marketing@gtl.com.pl, of any changes of names or car registration numbers.
  12. Employees of Travel Agents are obliged to return parking permits to the Marketing Department at Katowice Airport when they are no longer in use.
  13. It is the Travel Agent's obligation to conform to the Terms and Conditions as stated within this document.

Discount Vouchers

  1. Discounts are offered within the grounds of Katowice Airport, on services listed on the discount vouchers as well as, with regards to the discount card, on the programme website.
  2. Discount vouchers and discount cards may be issued by Travel Agents upon the sale of holiday travel packages or tickets departing, or arriving to, Katowice Airport, as well as by GTL during events such as trade fairs and promotional events.
  3. Discount vouchers may be printed by passengers, who will be ultilising services at Katowice Airport throughout the duration of the programme.
  4. Passengers in possession of discount vouchers are able to redeem vouchers at the programme-partner affiliated outlets offering goods and services, upon showing both discount voucher and airline ticket confirming arrival/intended departure from Katowice Airport, prior to sale.
  5. Discount vouchers offer the following rebates:
    1. 15% discount on parking at general car park no. 1 (from 2 to 7 days)
    2. 50% discount on parking at general car park no. 1 (more than 7 days)
    3. 30% discount on parking at secure car park no. 3 (more than 3 days)
    4. 10% discount at the restaurant at Katowice Airport
    5. 5% discount on purchases at “Baltona” in the duty-free area
    6. 5% discount on purchases at “Keraniss” in the duty-free area
    7. 5% discount at the fast food outlet within the duty-free area
    8. 10% discount on a one-way ticket on the “Airport Bus” service operated by PKM Katowice
    9. 10% discount on room rates at the Iskra and Wilga Hotels
    10. 10% discount on the Airport Taxi Service
  6. Discount cards offer the following rebates:
    1. 15% discount on parking at general car park no. 1 (from 2 to 7 days)
    2. 50% discount on parking at general car park no. 1 (more than 7 days)
    3. 30% discount on parking at secure car park no. 3 (more than 3 days)
    4. 10% discount at the restaurant at Katowice Airport
    5. 5% discount on purchases at “Baltona” in the duty-free area
    6. 5% discount on purchases at “Keraniss” in the duty-free area
    7. 5% discount at the fast food outlet within the duty-free area
    8. 10% discount on a one-way ticket on the “Airport Bus” service operated by PKM Katowice
    9. 10% discount on the Airport Taxi Service
    10. 5% discount on holiday packages operated by Jet Touristic and with departures from Katowice.
  7. Discount cards and vouchers for 15% and 50% discount are redeemable upon exiting general car park no. 1 at Katowice Airport. The discount voucher worth 15% is valid for cars using the car park for 2-7 days, whereas the voucher worth 50% is valid for cars using the car park for more than 7 days.
  8. Discount cards and vouchers for 30% discount are redeemable upon exiting secure car park no. 3 at Katowice Airport. The discount voucher is valid cars using the car park for over 3 days.
  9. Vouchers and discount cards offering 10% discount on gastronomic services at the restaurant at Katowice Airport are valid for all meals and beverages.
  10. Vouchers and discount cards offering 5% discount on purchases at Baltona in the duty-free area of Terminals A & B are valid for all available products, with the exception of tobacco products.
  11. Vouchers and discount cards offering 5% discount on purchases at Keraniss in the duty-free area of Terminals A & B apply to all available products, with the exception of tobacco products.
  12. Vouchers and discount cards offering 5% discount at the fast food outlet within the duty-free area of Katowice Airport are valid for all meals and beverages.
  13. Vouchers offering 10% discount on the “Airport Bus” service (valid for one-way full fare ticket worth 20PLN).
  14. Vouchers offering 10% discount on the Airport Taxi Service are only valid for journeys to and from Katowice International Airport using the Airport Taxi Service.
  15. Vouchers offering 5% discount on holiday packages offered by Jet Touristic with departures from Katowice Airport. These offers are only valid for packages purchased at the office at ul Kopernika 9 in Katowice.
  16. No other discounts may be used in conjunction with these offers. Only one voucher per sale or service is permitted.

Awards and Prizes for Participants of the Programme

  1. As part of the "Fly from Katowice!" programme, Travel Agents are in contention for awards and prizes offered by the management of GTL. The prizes and awards will be presented during the ceremony at the "Fly from Katowice!" Gala, held towards the end of 2010.
    1. In the category of tour operators, the following awards will be presented
      • 2010 TOUR OPERATOR OF THE YEAR:SUMMER
      • 2010 TOUR OPERATOR OF THE YEAR:WINTER
      • 2010 TOUR OPERATOR:DEBUT OF THE YEAR
    2. In the category of Tour Operator-owned Travel Agency, the top 3 offices will be awarded.
    3. Ia.In the category of Independent Travel Agency, the top 3 offices will be awarded.
    4. a.In the category of IATA-accredited Independent Travel Agent, the top 3 will be awarded.
  2. The Tour Operator clearing the largest number of passengers during the summer season will be awarded the title of 2010 TOUR OPERATOR OF THE YEAR: SUMMER and will receive 40 000PLN (forty thousand) net. This prize money will be assigned towards a joint advertising campaign in 2011, which will include information regarding departures from Katowice Airport. 5000PLN of the prize-money will be redeemable in the form of one sponsored article (4500 Polish characters + photos) in the Katowice Airport magazine: Silesia Airport.
  3. The Tour Operator clearing the largest number of passengers during the summer season will be awarded the title of 2010 TOUR OPERATOR OF THE YEAR: WINTER and will receive 30 000PLN (thirty thousand) net. This prize money will be assigned towards a joint advertising campaign in 2011, which will include information regarding departures from Katowice International Airport. 5000PLN of the prize-money will be redeemable in the form of one sponsored article (4500 Polish characters + photos) in the Katowice Airport magazine: Silesia Airport.
  4. The tour operator launching operations from Katowice Airport during the 2010 season and clearing the most passengers will be awarded the title of 2010 TOUR OPERATOR DEBUT OF THE YEAR and receive 10 000PLN (ten thousand) net. This prize money will be assigned towards a joint advertising campaign in 2011, which will include information regarding departures from Katowice International Airport. 2 500PLN of the prize-money will be redeemable in the form of one half-page advertisement in the Katowice Airport magazine: Silesia Airport.
  5. Tour Operator-owned travel agents participating in the "Fly from Katowice!" programme will be in contention for the 2010 TOUR OPERATOR-OWNED TRAVEL AGENT OF THE YEAR award offered by the management of GTL and programme partners.
  6. The three highest-scoring tour-operator owned travel agents will, on the basis of statistics determined by GTL, be announced in October 2010.
  7. As part of the 2010 “Fly from Katowice!” programme, independent travel agents are in contention for awards and prizes in the category of 2010 INDEPENDENT TRAVEL AGENT OF THE YEAR offered by the management of GTL and programme partners.
  8. The three highest-scoring independent travel agents will, on the basis of statistics determined by GTL, be announced in October 2010.
  9. As part of the 2010 “Fly from Katowice!” programme, independent travel agents are in contention for awards and prizes in the category of 2010 IATA TRAVEL AGENT OF THE YEAR offered by the management of GTL and programme partners.
  10. The three highest scoring independent travel agents (with IATA accreditation) will, on the basis of statistics determined by GTL, be announced in October 2010.
